Summer be like…

Finally the sun

 

Finally…

the SUN has come from hiding,

beginning her Mission,

of warming the earth

left frozen in time ,

double time by “Jack Frost’s” elongated tryst

brought upon us like a sledge hammers constant blows, on sheeted ice

“Broken” thoughts,

left idle by brisk winds,

stormy days flurrying into stormy nights iced over DREams ,

now defrost on command ,

from hopes of sunny days,

ultra-violet rays and festively rainbows now “bow down”,

over scattered”cloud shapes”,

in the sky, forgotten from failure to looking up,

for fear of more snow flakes,

BRING- ON- THE- SUN ,

son, with snow cones ,ice cream melting in my cup

and fruit filled slushies, from “Sonic”,

cooling us off,

here comes the bright ways of

stifled ideas by “winter blues” ,

“Oh , happy days”,

with bike ride, people sunning, children running

and “BARB-Q”,

start the grills ,

show off your sauces,

paper plate your meal,

Just feel that heat,

smell that meat,

taste that “Q”

Watch that smoke,

tell a joke ,

just laugh and watch

people play,smile and pray

for more “Sunshine” ,to shine

breathe,

take a walk,

stroll that park,

hold hands,

roll in the grass,

get dirty,

waddle in some”cool” pool, of water

and just giggle and DAYDREAM… PEACE..
